“I wanted to show people what I have done. “If you ask him anything about any of these tractors out here, he can tell you pretty much everything about them,” Thomas said of his grandson.ĭyer was eager to enter the Antique Tractor Show for one big reason. Thomas said it didn’t take his grandson very long to get the tractor running. Skelley bought a 1952 Ford 8N tractor some years ago in Hodgenville, and Dyer hoped it would one day be passed down to him.ĭyer’s grandpa, Steve Thomas, said the tractor sat in a barn on family property for several years before his mother-in-law gave it to the youngster, who is a sixth grader at LaRue County Middle School. It was something he’d had his eyes on for quite some time, and it belonged to his great grandpa J.W.
