It is beginning to look like Krieg will be the main focus of the final DLC pack set for release in September, marking the one year anniversary of the game.
The last part of the announcement was a single image displaying Krieg (one of the best playable characters in my opinion) and what appears to outline his split mind and personality. There is speculation as to who the narrator of this tale will be within cutscenes and the content in general with a soft promise of a “big reveal”. A new motorcycle-like vehicle was also shown, but apparently it can only be driven within this new content’s map so enjoy it while you can I suppose. Two new characters, Juno and Rose, were shown off at the event that announced this DLC, but not a whole lot is known about them at this time. (Which could be good, bad, or ugly, pardon my terrible pun) The setting steals heavily from classic spaghetti western imagery and appears to be focused on a cast of entirely new characters. That is quite a mouthful to say the least. The third DLC installment for Borderlands 3 will be here next month (June 25 to be exact) and we now know what to call it- Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption. You should not spoil anything for yourself if you should happen to start either of them before finishing the game. On another note, so far the stories do not seem to be connected to the main one really at all, besides the presence of certain characters that were also a part of those events. Going too early might mean that they become obsolete before you finish the main campaign. That is not to say that I would personally recommend taking on either DLC too early on in your experience, as some of the coolest and most unique loot in the game can be found there. In other words, the DLC’s scale to your character’s level and can be played anytime on Normal difficulty without Mayhem mode turned on. If you are new to the game or better yet new to the Borderlands series, you might be wondering when the best time to try to tackle each of these add-on campaigns is.įret not, valiant vault hunter for Gearbox knew that you would be rearing and ready to go for any of their DLC content! As long as you are not at the current level cap and have Mayhem mode on, all enemies that you will face and loot that you may acquire should be within one level of you (under or over).
